Situated at the front of the property, the Lower Pavilion is our largest and original event space. With covered pavilions and access to the surrounding grounds, it’s a go-to setting for groups looking to gather, eat, and enjoy the day together.

About the Lower Pavilion

New Jersey's Most Complete Outdoor Event Space

1971 — The space that started it all. Still the best in New Jersey.

The Lower Pavilion is the flagship event space at Oak Tree Lodge — the one Dutch and Emma DeCuir built the whole property around when they opened their doors over 55 years ago. Positioned at the front of the 18+ acre grounds, it’s the largest event area we have, with the capacity and flexibility to handle New Jersey’s biggest corporate outings, family reunions, school groups, and community events.

What makes it special isn’t just the size. It’s the full ecosystem of covered spaces, sports courts, food and beverage service, and the warm, wooded atmosphere that gives every event its own personality. The kids’ playground and 18-hole mini golf course are a short walk away, keeping guests of every age engaged from arrival to last call.

Every sport and activity at the Lower Pavilion is included in your package at no extra charge. Oak Tree Lodge supplies all equipment — just show up ready to play.

Softball Field

Full-size softball field with bases and equipment supplied. Guests should bring their own gloves.

Basketball Courts

Two full courts ready for pickup games. Balls supplied.

Volleyball Courts

Four courts — ideal for round-robin tournaments.

Bocce Courts

Three courts — most popular spot for friendly competition with a cold drink.

Horseshoe Pits

Four regulation pits. Equipment provided.

Cornhole

Ten sets for casual play or brackets.
